Founded in 2007 in Douala by Dr. Njinou Ngninkeu Bertin, the Centre Médico-Chirurgical d'Urologie (CMCU) was established with a profound conviction: Cameroonians deserve access to international-standard urological care without having to cross borders.
We pioneered laparoscopic and endoscopic surgery in Cameroon and established a nationwide prostate cancer screening program.
Today, our center features over 25 highly qualified healthcare professionals and a modern technical platform to meet all clinical needs.

Moving towards state-of-the-art robotic surgery In the coming days, CMCU will take a major leap toward the medicine of the future. We will deploy a cutting-edge robotic technological platform to guarantee surgical interventions with absolute precision, matching the highest international hospital standards. The robotic surgery center will also feature a module enabling robotic telesurgery. A MedTech initiative is also being established for medico-surgical and technical collaboration. This latest-generation robotic platform will very shortly be supported by exclusive training sessions; the Minimally Invasive Training and Robotic Center (MTRC) will open its doors at the same time, aiming to prepare surgeons, paramedical teams, and biomedical engineers for its perfect mastery.
